Evan,

I watched the trades coming across--when CWEI reversed there was a considerable surge of volume and a lot of 1K, 2K, 3K, and 5K buys in a fairly short span of time; I recall at one point, just prior to the close, seeing 8 straight buys before a sell came through. The action today was reminiscent of early December when CWEI traded down from 16 all the way down to 14 7/8 before it turned around and came back. I agree it was profit taking and it was down to 18 1/4 on only 60K shares traded--the remaining volume can be attributed to the buyers coming back in on the stock and pulling it back up. Worth mentioning is that on that day in December oil prices fell $1.10 to $23.32 a barrel. Today oil prices fell 0.89, all the way down to $25.30 a barrel.
