Phillip,

First, thanks for the pictures and the interesting post. I do not know why you had so many problems with the Sony Representatives. I received a clear demonstration of the Sony HiFD's ability to read and write a 1.44 MB disk with no hassles whatsoever. I copied an image which shows the read ability and a retrieved the image onto the drive which shows the ability for it to write. I still expect to see the HiFD in stores in limited quantity at the end of this month or early December.

Did anybody else have as much trouble as Phillip with the Sony demonstrators?

As far as Castlewood Systems is concerned, at comdex, I heard Iftikar say that the product is shipping to OEM's at this time. It is on back order. We probably will not see the ORB drive in American stores til the end of the 1rst quarter. At that time, we will probably see the Teac drive as well.
