Earnings Release Reaction

Loss from aquisition less then expected in lue of,
Better sales than expected in a usually weak quarter.

Basically, the worst if over, and the stock has
nothing but positive sales figures from Xmas
titles to look forward to. We may not know
the numbers till after the Holidays, so be
prepared to hold your stock at least into
the beginning of 1999.

Personally, I don't think TR3 will sell well, but
I did not anticipate the strength of TR1 on console
platforms, and TR2 in bargin bins, so that was a
pleasent suprise. I hope Theif is a suprise hit
of the Xmas season, but so far I've seen little
coverage of that game due out in a few weeks.
Honestly, there are few titles that I consider
must buys this Xmas. It looks like the first
half of 1999 will be a time of major new games.

One final comment. Don't be impressed with
magazine covers with Laura on them. I'd guess
they will help sell more copies to horney high
school age males, then TR3 game boxes...
Last year, PCGAMER and CGW had her on the cover
for TR2, along with practically every other rag
out there. This time, TR3 only gets coverage
in the more desperate for circulation rags.
