I think you've got an idea here, and I think you're right that we should be careful. This dork just wants attention. What's he think he is? The Woodward and Bernstein of joke press releases? I find his idea of offering bounty to anyone who turns in the prankster rather chilling.

I can't (won't call) because I'm in Italy and international calls are pricey. But I can offer another idea: people could also call the company, explain that they're disturbed by the Westergaard business, and ask that DOCU dissociate itself from his efforts. They were very quick to react to the appearance of the "press release"--and reacted properly, too, by not making a great big hysterical deal of it--and so might well take the point and do it.

These kinds of conspiracy theory accusations NEVER work. For anyone who's interested, there's a series of absolutely hilarious REAL press releases sent out by OCCF last fall (I think you'd have to find OCCF's own homepage; they're not on Yahoo anymore) . EVIL market makers! RIGGED markets! LOTS of screamingly funny mixed-up animal metaphors and an account of a visit to the Big Apple that'll have you weeping with laughter. Did all this help the stock price? Noooooo.

Let's hope Westergaard listens to whomever may have called him; but I suspect he's got his own agenda here, and the success or failure of DOCU doesn't enter into it.
