Jim: since you are encouraging creative thinking on wireless applications, I thought you might be interested in a product I saw spec'd (at a conceptual level) in an article a while ago. The technology exists but needs to be integrated (into a watch, phone, or other device) and developed to end-product stage, from what I could gather. Foundation was an itsy-bitsy PC screen, .47 inch diagonal, that could clearly display a whole web page. I say clearly but not very useable. The display was transmitted to a pair of spectacles that gave the wearer the illusion that a full-size PC screen was floating in the air in front of them, regardless of which direction they looked or what they were doing with their hands. Wonder if it could also be projected out an automobile, plane, etc., windshield without the spectacles; the windshield acting as the spectacles? Not sure how one navigates the web with this. Of course, other types of data could be used. Thought it an interesting technology, though. Applications? I'll have to put on my Tom-Terrific thinking cap on when I have more time.

Regards. ...Tim
