It looks like CEO selection will be done by the board- If this is important to anyone, it looks like the CEO selection will be performed by the EDS board with little or no input from the remaining EDS management staff. I personally do not like this because the people who built the company should have something to contribute in order to find the right person. After all, selling and servicing Enterprise IT services that involve assuming responsibility for key corporate mission critical activities is not something one can learn on the job. But this looks like its what the Wall Street analysts really want and I expect the board could select Bugs Bunny and the stock will take off like a rocket. Seeing that I am very long on EDS, I really like this possibility.
