Some excerpts from Briefing.com this morning:
10:46 ET Yahoo! Inc (YHOO) 211 1/2 -9 15/16 (-5%): --Update-- Needham & Co started coverage with a "hold" rating. While firm believes that
Yahoo! deserves a premium valuation to it peer group, firm cannot justify its current valuation of $615 per unique user (74% above its portal universe
average).
****
09:15 ET Lycos Inc (LCOS) 65 1/16: Issue indicated 1/8 higher in pre-market after Needham & Co starts with a "buy" rating and a 6-12 month
target of $75 (upside 15%). Says company has built a formidable network of Internet portals and communities oriented sites; believes company has
done good job of developing a sense of community on its sites, "which is key to customer loyalty and traffic momentum." With 18.7 mln unique visitor,
LCOS shares currently valued at $140 per unique visitor. Needham believes more appropriate value would be $175 per unique visitor, which
produces $75 price target.

So that's ~$800 from YHOO & LCOS alone. Throw in AMZN, SEEK, and all the other places I seldom visit and this unique visitor must be worth $4000-5000. That's about $3999-4999 more than I spent with these folks. The emperor is buck naked and soon a cold breeze will make everyone see how he is shivering.
