Now, with all that joking behind us, SPYG(19-5/16) is trading near its 52 week high, with the last 10 points coming over the last 6 weeks. I am really interigued with the impending issuing of a patent to its Surfwatch software division. Surfwatch is the division that provides the web filtering technology used to filter out inappropriate materials for individuals and for businesses. For individuals, I mean sex, violence, hate, drugs, gambling etc for the home and productivity detractors for the business such as astrology, chat rooms (OOPS!), job searches, etc.
I do not know what the impact of this patent will have on the other web filtering products on the internet.
