The "Clueless Investor" article is silly, because it doesn't take into account that the computer world is changing substantially. (I won't use the 'paradigm shift' phrase again.) IBM may have become overvalued now, but that's because they are still doing the same old thing (extremely well, of course). Sun's stock has zoomed because people are seeing that it has innumerable possibilities to grow its business substantially in different ways.

this is Dale's problem too, of course. I actually think he is playing devil's advocate now, and really doesn't believe himself the drivel he is posting. Yes, Dale, Sun is still just a boxmaker (and a software maker). When Sun's technology is in billions of boxes on your TV, computer, printer, and every other place that will be touched by the internet, it will still be a software and box maker. With a jillion dollar market cap.
