Dave: I did the same thing about 10 days ago with the same mobo and couldn't be happier. The performance increase from 400 to 450 was very noticeable due, no doubt, to the L2 cache. Also bought the Malaysia version, OEM, and it did not come with a heatsink/fan combo. I used the combo off my 266. Had to use 2.2 volts to get my 266 to run at 400 but the 300a runs stable up to 450 at 2 volts. Now I have a 266 with no where to go.
