eBay is now misleading us.

They now have on their auction site that there are more than one million items up for bid.

In fact, when you add up the numbers, they have 964,500 auctions going on.

They USED to report the number of auctions, but they just couldn't wait so they have changed the definition to say they have more than one million items up for bid (because some auctions offer more than one item -- usually junk, like "How I make one million dollars a year on eBay" -- some people try to sell 100 of these at a time.

Also, looks like eBay is trying to make it harder for us to keep a true auction count.

Could this be the ANALysts pressuring them to keep the info from us little guys???
