Do you really think gold needs the teotwawki panic mantra to do well, Rose? I don't - there are imho good and logical reasons for gold to demonstrate in the near future its superiority over paper, among which the Euro/US$ shift is primary. Anyway, if your neighbours are all going to revert to savages on 01/01/00 then you don't need gold - you need lead and a propulsion system for it.
