The C&W announcement is certainly significant in addition to the positive earning surprise.

Among all the ATM vendors (FORE, XYLN, ASND, CS, NT/BAY, CSCO, and NN), NN is the only one who makes real carrier-class ATM switches and has the closest tie with the telecommunications industry. The others are largely enterprise ATM (LAN backbone) or the edge devices makers.
