I think you miss Russell's point. I know you miss mine.

Don't you find it odd that organized churches heap praise on those who give their goods to the poor, while those who attempt to address and alter the social conventions that generate and perpetuate poverty are more likely to be denounced as rabble-rousers? Would Mother Theresa be considered for sainthood if she had used her fame as a platform to speak out against the feudal and constricting Indian caste system, or the unavailability of population control devices?

Churches prescribe band-aids for arterial bleeding. Russell found this effete and wishy-washy. So do I.
