First of all, congrats to all Microsoft longs! (including me, to a very small extent).

Second of all, here's another anti-Microsoft article that hit the stands today:
washingtonpost.com

I really think Microsoft should settle this thing. The spin about Netscape being renewed will last about 6 days. Then people will wake up to the fact that Netscape no longer exists--hardly their original plan. And then we'll all be going back to the Bill Gates show.

Here's a prelude: Microsoft's first witness, Paul Maritz gets
cross examined. Boies plays a video:
GOV: Do you remember this email from Paul Maritz saying let's slash Marc Andreeson's tires?
GATES: [30 second pause] Which Marc Andreeson?
GOV: Marc Andreeson of Netscape.
GATES: [30 second pause, rocking]. I don't remember.
--end video
Boies: So Mr. Maritz, do you want to explain the email and make
your boss look like an idiot or do you want to perjure yourself
also and say you don't remember anything?
Maritz: Gulp.

Anyone who doesn't think that all this bad publicity will not substantially affect the bottom line doesn't understand business, politics, or marketing.
