Sal, it's not obvious to me that people will have to spend a lot more for a PowerPC machine. Remember, the CHRP spec is open. There are Taiwanese motherboard manufacturers lining up to build these. And the PowerPC chips are about half the price of an equivalent performing Pentium [Pro]. I have heard strong rumours that Microsoft is counting on these PowerPC machines to lessen their dependence on Intel. Evan. P.S. I agree that Apple will be out of business one day. But you can say that about any company if you wait long enough. Personally I think Apple will just be bought out, most likely by IBM.
