Yes they do.
In regard to Iomega....I have owned and followed the company since it was IOMG a $15 Stock in 1995 ( $ 1.25 ) split adjusted. I believe that IOM is somewhat undervalued here not severly as others would think....I'd like to see> 5 cents for Q4.............and once they make a subsequent profit in Q1 99 profit. I believe IOM will reach these goals...that's way I ntend to accumulate at $7 an under.
Now when that actually happens.........well then......
I feel there is TONS!!! :) ..... as our colleague s. bateh says.....of potential in beyond PC products......like scanners for example......I was in CompUSA today...no USBs here on Long Island yet, but what I noticed was that other than 1/3 of all the displayed Compaqs has Zip Built IN.......this particular store has never really had that many ZBI Machines only HP had 1 model displayed with an internal Zip......thank god for Dell......haha....anyway what I'm getting at is that Zip is still not the "standard" using the standard definition for standard...ie. in all machines like a floppy.......however everyday that goes by that another 100,000 disks are being sold, whether they be used in scanners or printers or medical devices or games or whatever, increases the pressure on the PC manufactures to include the drive......to read those new diks that come pouring out.....the important point I'm trying to make is that, in a way, drive demand, to some extent, depends on disk demand...Lets say I need to share some sort of data with someone else either one time or on a regular basis, if he/or she really wants/needs to access may data and he or she does not have a Zip or a PC with Zip Built IN (ZBI)then he or she will have to buy one simple as that..........hence the disk caused the demand.
IOM's future, IMHO, depends more on the growth of the need to store and share data whether it be applications and/or especially web downloads, by the consumer....PC companys give the avareage concumer what they want....when the average consumer want's a ZBI they'll be in all the PCs, IMHO. But, it depends on their need to store exchange/ data.......I believe that the "percentage growth in need" is hard to quantify.....It would be interesting to try though.
Clik! I believe appeals to a different form factor.....ie. cameras, PDAs, GPS etc.......everything always seems to get smaller...this could be a big market but I don't know enough about it and the product to make a useful comment.
Jaz.........TONS!!!!! :) of growth potential here IMHO......Jaz will be to large networked businesses what Zip currently is to consumers and small business'......to me even if clik flops, which I don't think will happen...maybe just hold its own and pay for itself,....the growth in ZBI, Beyond PC, the growth in demand for disks and the potential take off in Jaz Network Server and Work Station markets will propell IOM to higher stock prices ......it all, IMHO hinges on the need of the consumer to have and use those disks, whether they be Zip,Jaz, or Clik!......I'd love to see a ten pack od Zip 100 disks for 59.99 a ten pack of Jaz1 disks for $499......
Beyond PC BILLIONS AND BILLIONS OF TONS OF POTENTIAL :)..they markets are potentially endless.
Anyway those are my opinions....anyone have any comment...would love to hear it.
