MikeJ,

I checked the Bayer website and e-mailed the company asking if they had any compounds in the pipeline specifically for the study
or creation of apoptosis as it relates to cancer or pre-cancerous
conditions. Nothing was found on their website and to date I have
not recieved a response to my e-mail. You may be thinking of the
new COX-2 inhibitors that will be used as anti-inflammatories. If
a company wanted to bring this to market as a treatment for the
prevention of cancer or any other condition it would take them several years (CLPA has been doing the research for 8) to catch up
to CLPA as they would have to go through PhaseI/II/III trials just
as CLPA has done before the drug could be approved. We are way
ahead of the game here and unless I am mistaken WE DO NOT HAVE ANY
COMPETITION in the field of chemoprevention at this time. Not a bad
spot to be in...
