Robert, I find it a bit curious he doesn't see the merit of using all available forms of media, i.e., wireless, dsl and fiber by the BOX to deliver h-s data. Each has its advantages, even from a provider's point of view. >I also found it interesting that one of his desires was to run a small telecom operating company. Wants to reengineer the business to packet based voice - expects that this will be ready for prime time is a year or so. He's a CMU guy and has been in the field for over 20 years - extremely knowledgeable. < His aspirations sound only too familiar by now. It would be wise for him to take a number in line at this time. In another year or so the queue of aspiring wannabe next gen telcos will be many miles long and leagues deep of those who think that they can beat the incumbents on economies of scale and service bundling.
