In reply to Redchip Review's comments made by Kenneth Trvobich (sp?) about AXC, he mentioned the words INDUSTRY STANDARD and you wondered what it meant. What he is predicting, and we're all hoping, is that KM becomes a new normal standard for all hard drives. Right now only Maxtor w/ 8% market share is going to use it, but if and when Seagate, IBM, Quantum, Micropolis and the others I can't seem to figure out, also go to KM as a standard coating, they'll have an INDUSTRY STANDARD that's patented, everywhere, low cost and (we hope) very high margin... in other words, THE NEXT MICROSOFT! Well, kind of. At least, that's the hope, with good reason to believe it can be achieved.
Someone a few posts back asked for everyones predictions for AXC stock short and long term. Here's mine, oft reported in the past...
I can see triple digits for AXC by 2000, much sooner if it gets HOT with momentum players and more influential stock newsletters, if KM is adopted by all, if digital tv becomes a bonanza, and the wild card of much more technology that's not earning them any $ at present being sold as a subsystem component industry wide rather than just in their extremely hi end whole systems, as promised they're exploring in the future once KM gets off the ground.
My guess as to the delay in more signees for KM is the wait for more definite progress with MR. Guess that's giving most pause as they wait to see if they can use it in both MR and inductive. |
