Bob, Several investors Ive talk to think it will easily be $100 by 1998.

As for myself, When I bought I expected $25 by end of 1996 and $40 by end of 1997. It has already surpassed by 1996 expectations.

The Daimler-Benz announcement which will use Ballard fuel cell is 6 months earlier than predicted. Ballard is conservative on its business plans. This is may be why they meet or beat them.

On another thread BLD.t under Canadian Stocks... someone said that PCI analysts say Ballard could be fully valued anywhere from "100 to $100,000". Personally, that's a little too much hype for me, but it does reflect the confidence some analysts have in the stock. I am going to ask Ballard's Investor Relations to set up a Web Page, to keep us up to date.

I have alot of press releases, related articles on fuel cells etc. I get more confident each time I read them that they will replace the polluting internal combustion engine. They are being tested on city streets right now (look at old messages under BLD.T Canadian Stock for article on Chicago). What is so signifant about the Daimler-Benz announcement is that they plan to use methanol gas (see GeorgeTown contract)...not fossil fuels.

Ballard is also working with the Navy on placing the fuel cell in applications such as submarines... This info comes from the Manager of Commericialization Strategy. Its not a well known fact right now.

It may also replace the extremely expensive and scary nuclear power plants as well as hydro electric generation. I have a picture of the world's first 30w PEM hydrogen power plant. It's roughly the size of a desk. Beacuse these power plants are self-contained, lightweight with a small foot print, they can be located anywhere power is needed. They can be fed by existing natural gas lines or use hydrogen gas. PEM power plants can be placed in hospitals, hotels, office buildings, residential complexes, city blocks etc for dispersed electricity generation. They are also stackable...add more as needed.

There is other competition but as I understand, Ballard is 5 year ahead of others and is protecting its technology with patents (108 now or pending worldwide, I understand).

Back to your question...Given the potential, the $$$ at which Ballard is fully valued is anyones guess. They don't have many shares outstanding...6 million I believe.

Sorry for the long answer.
