I know when I bought my current Dell, the salesperson said their machines had virtually all WDC's (for standard install's) and IBM's (for the biggie's) but my box arrived with a Maxtor (8.4 gb)! I was a little surprised but it's been flawless. At one point almost all Dell's had Wdc's but I'm not sure of the config. today. ...Tim
