Here's an example of real customer service. On Monday just before the open, I placed a couple of short sale orders at NDB, because I knew I couldn't get a fill near the open at Datek. One order got filled immediately at the high of the day, and the other stock never traded as high as my limit. I had no complaints. Unknown to me, NDB had some problems with executions later in the day. I was unaffected, because I didn't place any other orders. Monday night at 6:30, NDB called me at home. First they apologized for their execution problems, and then they asked me to review my orders for the day to see if there were any that should have been filled but were not filled due to their computer problems. If there were any such orders, they offered to retroactively give me a fill, even if the market had moved in my favor. Now that's service!
