RE: advantage of hindsight No question. But trading on trends (TA) is relying on hindsight. It is fundamental analysis that pretends to forecast the future (like next year's earnings), but it takes one with more restraint than I have to bet against a DELL when the consensus forecast is higher EPS and the chart looks like a ski jump or a launching ramp. I would rather be shot as a wolf than hanged as a lamb. Makes a much better story when chatting up the chicks or putting down your colleagues.
