I'm impressed with this morning's PR. This is the kind of thing that all companies like THQ can and should be doing now, without waiting to get actual internet gaming itself (the big enchilada) perfected. Note that it includes appropriate outlets for game enthusiasts (increasing goodwill among current and prospective customers), purchasers (increasing the bottom line, with margins un-reduced by middle-men) and investors (perhaps adding to visibility and goodwill in a way that will increase the likelihood of multiple expansion going forward.

Ideally, this will all be integrated in 6-18 months with on line gaming.

If they can execute this stuff well, it should do a lot for the company.
