John, I read the reply you mentioned. Satan is still trying to defeat God. We know he will not succeed.
"Then the Devil, who betrayed them, was thrown into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur, joining the beast and the false prophet. There they will be tormented day and night forever and ever." (Rev 20:10 NLT)
"And anyone whose name was not found recorded in the Book of Life was thrown into the lake of fire." (Rev 20:15 NLT)
In this I can see the anguish of the saints today as they mourn for those who have resisted God and persecuted them, but the God of all comfort will easy our hearts. What a horrible fate awaits those people, may God have mercy on their souls..
"But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you!" (Mat 5:44 NLT) "In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and on the unjust, too." (Mat 5:45 NLT) "If you love only those who love you, what good is that? Even corrupt tax collectors do that much." (Mat 5:46 NLT)
God bless,
