To the thread-- yesterday I listened in on a TOUP conference call with brokers, etc.
Those who want to listen to the replay can call 1 800 526-7151 and ask to listen to the replay of the TOUP conference call. Well worth listening to. They will ask for your name, company affiliation and phone number. I just told them I was a private investor. Available for at least 1 week, I am told, but I would do it sooner rather than later.
There were a few things that I thought were worth relaying to the thread. Let me start with the Safe Harbor statement that TOUP mentioned in their CC which simply says that all predictions involving the future are problematic because the future is unknown.
Having said that, TOUP had its first profitable month in September and expects to show profitable quarters and growing revenues going forward.
The company is making excellent progress regarding the commercialization of its various technologies and expects to be finished with certain aspects of Aquafuel commercialization within a couple of months (i.e., a home unit, trailer mounted unit, recycling unit, etc., would be developed and ready for sale). I suspect they will be working on broader aspects of Aquafuel commercialization for quite some time to come.
Now the real kicker: TOUP is in negotiations to provide the Dominican Republic with up to 15% of its power needs through the use of Aquafuel. There is no contract, so the company is unable to talk about the details at this point.
Just the fact that Toup thinks they can handle a project like this and do it economically is pretty amazing, although of course, I have questions about how this can be done on a cost competitive basis. Hopefully, the company will be telling us more about this before too long.
