Are you a long or short? If you are a short why don't you make mention of it. This is my impression based on looking at your profile. It seems the last 15 or so responses related to Syntel that you posted are generally negative.

Incidentally I just got back into it last week. I believe that investments are long term and timing is impossible. As for Stephen if you have analyzed the company and believe the fundamentals are strong why wait till it hits the imaginary (or whatever method you used to determine the) low price. It might not get there or you may buy it at that targeted price and it may go lower than that anyway. Bottom line if you believe the stock is under valued and that it will be going up then just buy before others recognize the value and push it up.
