I'm currently looking into one of the trading platforms. Higher commissions but when all is said and done cheaper than Datek John, JPR Capital has a trading platform like MB trading but charges commissions in line with Datek's rates. You might look into them. There is thread here on SI, and lots of discussion on the MB Trading thread about them.
