Wed 25 Nov 98 In the News
The Financial Post reports in its Wednesday edition that shares of Bid.Com
International rose 19 cents to $2.88 on the Toronto Stock Exchange on
Tuesday, on volume of 5.9 million shares. Market Action columnist Garry
Marr notes that shares of the Internet auctioneer were on the move again,
rising seven per cent, with volume reaching more than 10 times average
levels. The buzz around Internet stocks has helped push Bid.Com up this
month. It was trading as low as 56 cents on Oct. 19, but broke through the
$2 range in the past week. The stock remains off its 52-week high of $3.95
set on Dec. 9, 1997.
