While I agree that your sale may in fact be timely from a trading perspective, I don't think PTCH's world is coming to an end, or that this stock is "extremely disappointing." Extremely disappointing is losing your ass on a bad investment. PTCH is not a bad investment.

Less than a year ago in Dec 1997, PTCH traded at $1 - that's over a 50% return in 11 months. Aug 98 we were at 1.18 - that's 32% in 3 months. That doesn't suck in my book.

But I'll agree that even a cursory review of the chart going back a couple years shows this stock trading in a pretty tight range, of which we are at or very near the top - so maybe your decision is a good one from a traders perspective - but but but I don't think Pacer is doing anything fundamentally wrong with regards to its investors. And who knows where we'll go from here.

What will ultimately propel this stock higher is consistent sales and earnings growth. But this is a glue stock - pretty boring really. But then again it's compelling from a trading standpoint.
