I am still surprised with these results. Everyone, including folks from different levels of geology expertise had expressed expectations of counts which could have been as low as 20ct but never 11ct/100. As I said earlier, I took a break from the net and have just finished reading all these posts. I never did intend to ran away. <ggg> No reason to. I did not break any rules. DJ, I am a short, 5 7” but did not short Ashton. I still have mail to reply to. I will before tomorrow.
Ashton did process subsamples and I think results should have reported in subsamples, which would identify different locations and depths of the pipe.
I did anticipate good results and did like the technical strengths. The ONLY information I ever heard from a decent source was that huge stones will be announced with colored stones. Not once did I ever feel comfortable with the ct/100 and never did post a definite number. I did mention that Ashton needs 20ct/100 to proceed to further sampling and a valuation would be done if 150ct were found. I had received so much mail from people claiming they heard rumors of ct/100 from as low as 20ct to 80ct/100, from brown stones to blue stones, from 2ct to 4ct. I don't ever recall saying this on this public thread but did share via PM from people who ASKED. The few sources I have confidence in never did know the counts/100ct. and I made sure the PM's/emails indicated that. Therefore, folks if you're going to play this speculative game, you must be cautious. Finally, if you don't want to hear what I have to say in confidence, DO NOT SEND ME EMAIL AND ASK as time is money and I can do other things besides replying to mail,. for the others, I don't have a problem. and if you're one of them, you know you may have sent me an email to confirm info and I would refuse as I did not know.
Being as active as I am on the net, it was expected for me to be bashed by a few. That does not bother me, newsletter writers get it all the time. Based on the few who bashed, it is real low. Thanks. Same thing happened when K91 mini bulk was released. At the time there were more bashers. When Ashton stock went to $8.00 and I was supporting the stock since $1.00 and feeding the market rumors and analysis, I don't remember ever receiving cheques in the mail from the many who made money. Isn't life a bitch! Always have said invest what you can afford to lose. Yes, I did get hit finacially in my accounts, but I am not worried, I will make it back. I should have sold it all at higher prices but don't have a crystal ball. As from the investment group, our average cost is just 20% more than what it is trading today. Thanks to a few other diamond stocks we hold in our group, we are still ahead in the game. Will be buy more Ashton? Don't know, as we need to revisit the whole play. Like John Auston quoted in one of todays paper, many were hoping on this one only pipe. YES JOHN, reread your MINI BULK RESULTS from K14 and see what you wrote. You lead us to believe that the K14 pipe had commercial strengths. How can a mini bulk expose a 1.4 carat stone and 470t expose not one over a carat. There is something about this Ashton scenario I never did trust and unfortunately don't have any official data to pursue it. Therefore, it is back to business.
