I like G.Lite. But I don't view it as a panacea, for it will take several years to deploy. J Doe's non-qualifying experience seems to be the norm. That kind of thing will cost G.Lite permanent market share to cable modems and, in J Doe's case, non-RBOC supplied xDSL, whatever technology that is.
