Edgar Bronfman, the chairman of the World Jewish Congress, is bankrolling, through his Seagram subsidiary MCA, the Interscope record company. Interscope is the distributor of the no. 3 album on the Billboard record charts, "AntiChrist Superstar," by the homosexual rock band "Marilyn Manson." 200,000 copies were sold in the first two weeks of its release. The eponymous lead singer of the group declares, "America needs that Antichrist figure...to save these kids from the oppression of right-wing morality." Imagine if a billionaire Christian businessman were to bankroll a rock record titled, "Anti-Rabbi Superstar." Imagine if the lead singer were to inform interviewers, "America needs that anti-Rabbi figure...to save these kids from the oppression of left-wing political correctness." The weeping, wailing, national soul-searching and sackcloth and ashes repentance would stretch from Miami to Seattle.
The media are selectively indignant: opposition to Judaism, however minuscule, is cause for a four-alarm national fit. Attacks on the Christian religion and insults to Christ, however vast, are regarded by the media as ho-hum, business-as-usual, don't-blow-a-fuse, can't-you-take-a-joke? The establishment media omit important facts: that the director of the World Jewish Congress is officially and knowingly financing a record album that blasphemes the name of the Christian savior.
Bad Jewish guys who victimize millions of Christians and their children by means of corporate power get zero national exposure, while a lone deranaged vandal who tosses a stone through a suburban window becomes Public Enemy Number One.
