Falstaff - If you want to read the report--with tables--I suggest you contact SAL and ask for Vol. 3 No. 5 1998 of their newsletter, "One Step Ahead." You can contact them by e-mail at: OneStep@XRayLitho.com The entire issue is devoted to XRL manufacturing insertion. Here is an item under "cost of ownership": ASET is focusing 24% of its budget on XRL. Akihiko Ishitani, Director of Semiconductor Technology for ASET, explains, "A new technology should not just replace an existing technology, but should offer additional capabilities. XRL does this by offering smaller masks, larger depth of focus and a larger field size." Betty
