I just received an email invitation from Microsoft to attend a free Y2K seminar on December 9th. The email is sent to a list generated from an on-line registration link on Microsoft's website. I'll post here and let you know whether or not Thinking Tools is mentioned at the seminar.
FYI, here's the text of Microsoft's invitation message:
-----------------
Year 2000: The Hype and the Reality
Gateway Group, a Microsoft Certified Solution Partner, will help you define what's required to identify and resolve your organization's Year 2000 exposure. We'll address the impacts of Y2K on your personal computers and servers, and Blackhawk Information Services, a Gateway Group partner, will address mainframe and midrange Y2K issues.
At this hard-hitting seminar you'll learn:
What is meant by Y2K compliance? Y2K resolution? Y2K mitigation? What are the real Y2K problems and when will you really start seeing Y2K problems? How do you build your Y2K team? What resources are available to help you be ready for the Year 2000? What about your vendors? Your customers? What are some of the potential Y2K legal issues? What other Y2K-like issues are on the horizon? The Euro and GPS rollover problems
Are you ready? Do you understand your Y2K exposure? Do you have a Y2K plan? Is your Y2K plan adequate? Join us at this free seminar to cut through the Y2K hype and learn the Y2K reality.
By attending this seminar, qualified corporate users will have to opportunity to receive 120-day evaluation copies of Microsoft BackOffice, development tools, and application software.
If you can't attend, call the Gateway Group sales department at 925-283-7900 Ext. 204 or visit our web site at www.gatewaygroup.com to find out how we can help with your Year 2000 project.
