GC,
If the short position is 5 million shares then that means some of us own shares that our brokers can not supply the certificates for. If we could call in every share in the float and the 5 million short is a naked short then somebody would have to go in to the market and buy 5 million good shares to supply the good paper. What the naked shorts have going for them is that they know that many investors will not go along with a cert call program for one reason or another. The main reason many people will not call for their certs is that they are afraid they can not sell the shares in the meantime. The day traders and momentum players obviously will not help us. However, if enough of us long termers work together we could force a lot of the short position to be covered.

Best Regards
