Well, I didn't really ask any questions&#151I was pointing out that e-commerce 'off-the-shelf' isn't a strategy vendors can 'take home tonight and get started' even if it's advertised that way. Whilst many vendors know little about e-commerce, at a minimum they know they'll be conducting services through their ISP which is why many of them start there&#151not with the Walmart clerk. Polling vendors who are really doing this would present a different picture than polling Walmart chaps. Sure, one could buy a basket off the shelf&#151but what will she plug it into, how will card verifications be managed, how will the database be hooked in to the client browser. This all comes back to the ISP (and/or the independent consultant who develops the system and hooks them up). That's precisely why a product like 'Shop Zone' is in bed with ISPs like Best, a major ISP in the Silicon Valley area: best.com Anyway, back to turkey prep - have a good Thanksgiving. -MrB
