Here's a way of offset your curse, AT... Buy what you need to buy...sell half of what you did buy when you feel like selling. The stock will go up, but you'll still have that other half, so you'll actually make a profit!!! Albeit a much smaller one, but better than nothing... :-) So given you bought 300 shares at $36 (hypothetical), sell 150 shares at $43, keep 150 shares and watch it go up to $49!!!
