I favor applix. A much smaller company. revenue genertion from linux is for shrink wrapped software. No production and inventory costs. Only 10 million shares out. Applixware runs on borg, all unixes and linux. Corel is PC/intel/ms company. Could have problems (corporate memtality)with port and creating other office apps. Corel is also proposting web terminal computer in place of PC. I have little faith in that approach and if it fails, Lot's of unsold expensive inventory.
But, you can now buy cosff at 2.5. Both could be linux stocks (as in ebay/yahoo no brain) But applix has other well positioned product lines that actually may benefit from linux applixware mindshare.
I rate applix a better value. oo wa... up 3/8 today.
