Hi Don,
Many viewpoints. Here is just two:
" You can use the quantum perspective to see your body as a silent flow of intelligence, a constant bubbling up of impulses that create control and become your physical body. The secret of life at this level is that anything in your body can be changed with the flick of an intention.
Matter and energy come and go, flickering in and out of existence like fireflies, yet all events are held together and made orderly by the deep intelligence that runs through all things.
Once you agree that your self is intelligent then all creating is within your grasp through the principle of self-referral:
"Curving back within myself, I create again and again, as Bhagavad Gita says.
Impulses of intelligence create your body in new forms every second. What you are is the sum total of these impulse, and by changing their patterns, you will change.
No matter how different they appear, body and mind are both soaked through with intelligence.
As Vedic verse declares, " The inner intelligence of the body is the ultimate and supreme genius in nature. It mirrors the wisdom of the cosmos." This genius is inside of you, a part of your inner blueprint that cannot be erased.
Every cell is a miniature terminal connected to the cosmic computer.
Intelligence can express itself either as thoughts or as molecules.
To think is to form patterns inside ourselves that are just as complex, fleeting and rich in their diversity as is reality itself.
Thinking is no less than our mirror of the world.
Being in touch with your needs is the most powerful way to be in touch with where your inner intelligence is heading at any given moment. This attentiveness makes you a conscious person, someone who is evolving along lines no one else will exactly duplicate, not even the greatest of masters.
Where Nature goes to create stars, galaxies, quarks, and leptons, you and I go to create ourselves".
"The highest level of belief comes when the mind contacts its own intelligence as an experience".
Because we can change like quicksilver, the flowing quality of life is natural to us. The material body is a river of atoms, the mind is a river of thought, and what holds them together is a river of intelligence.
What is the mind but the experiencer, the knower? What is the body but the experienced, the known? If I can switch my attention from one to the other then there must be a "me" that is not trapped in the dualism of mind or body". We are not the body. We are not the mind. We are the ones who have mind and body".
Could it be Don that we are souls?
:)
Happy Thanksgiving to you Don who has given so much privately to me without fanfare and with great intelligence!
Happy Thanksgiving Thread, we are truly blessed by those who break bread with us and by He who gives the Manna of life.
Sincere Regards,
