Dan,

Where are cost figures available? The two seem also to differ in that CTSI's supplies are disposable?

Wonder whether adoption of one procedure at a hospital will preclude future use of the other and which one has an edge in the race to market? Seems that both are well along in establishing training centers.

Noticed you previously posted that CTSI has done some double bypasses. Were you saying those involve provision for heart-lung support because of the risk?

Guess I still don't understand the angioplasty vs single/multiple bypass market; thought that ap would compete mainly with single bypass (CTSI).

One last question (for the moment <g>) re stopped vs beating heart:
just saw that 99% of open-heart procs are stopped; is the 1% a newer trend and is the CTSI method of 'stabilization' (get the impression that this is actually euphanism for stun) somewhat a breakthru?

BTW, A quick search showed 8 US patents assigned to Heartport (most issued in '96). CTSI had none.

-bob // CTSI is up 1 5/8 as I post.
