I found a bit of detail about the reasons for the delisting at a NASDAQ site:

After you get there, click on "recently delisted companies"

This will eventually scroll off, so I'll copy the text of the "comments" field (it's short) here:

"Net tangible assets/mkt cap/net income below min; violation of shareholder approval & reverse merger requirements; & public interest concerns."

This is clearly the most severely-worded notice in the list. The other one that comes closest is ORVX on 11/17. (Naw, just found one that is actually worse than ESVS - check out PRDQE on 11/2...)
