Hey! Turn down the volume. Tell Dowd and Swiss to get out of the personality clash. Dell and Compaq are both fine companies in competition with each other. You all are here to make money. Bring in some facts and stats and leave the fat to another thread. Both of these stocks are undervalued (especially CPQ) and will make you money in the next year. Just think of all the corporate systems that have to be replaced because of Y2K issues.

Was there any benefit in the McIntosh/Intel arguments, the NT/Novell battles, or the Windows/Apple bitching? No.....Everyone is winning and they are all still alive. Simmer down and let us ALL concentrate on where WE can best put our efforts. Only 2% of the world owns computers, and less than 25% of those are on the Internet (that is 1/2 of one Percent on the Interent). Baby, there is money to be made for years to come. Jump back and forth between the two to optimize your profits.
