Darnley Bay/Tuktut Nogait Park story - can't link you to story - read it on 'hard copy'. Just checked out nationalpost.com , but only today's stories available. Sorry, don't have a scanner.

The gist of the story is that Senate Chair of National Park committee says he supports a boundary review [which will allow for Darnley's exploration area to extend into the recently approved National Park] The Inuit [Inuvialuit] requested a boundary change to allow for Darnley exploration. Opposition comes from (!!?) the Fed Minister, Mitchell,(& others) who says he's concerned that changes in one National Park boundary will put pressure on other parks, blah, blah, blah.
The Inuvialuit say they understood that their agreement with the federal gov. allowed for a review of the boundary.
Throw in a few thousand caribou - and you will get a better picture - who decides what development will be allowed in the area?

PS
Spoke to some government sources, closer than Ottawa, to the story and they believe the Inuvialuit will win this one - no problem, Darnley has the OK from the Inuit.

PPS
Public Offering approved, but only available to Ontario residents?
