hell.... as an investment, im going to be spending some time to look at AMTD because I can say one thing for certain- their business MUST be exploding hence the problems increasing..

you brought up alot of great points its just very frustrating.. Ameritrade is inexpensive, semi professional must of the time, and they really ARE trying.. This I must agree with, however these last 2 weeks have been VERY horrible if you have an account with them. If they dont solve these problems by next week I can assure everyone here that you will be reading about it on the front page of IBD or wallstreet journal because it seems to be about 70% of the trades I do are incorrect. NO exaggeration..

As for real names are being part of the 'competition'- please... my real name wouldnt fit here so I abbreviated. My email address is readily available and im nothing more than a trader who is trying to establish capital and ameritrade is helping by cheap commission rates. I understand the game to a small degree, and also understand that part of that is dealing with these growing pains but there is a limit to what one should expect and that goes both ways.

rather ironic- I put in an order to sell a few shares of MALL while Ameritrade was down yesterday.. Once again, the order was filled about 15 minutes after I submitted it but THIS time they filled in about 4 points higher than my limit price. hah.. I won that time..

Im surprised there is no activity on this thread. If this company ever gets its act together (and im sure they will since their problem IS the customer base size)- they will be huge.. If they can service traders who are doing 20-30 trades a day? wow.. it can be done they assure me..

...im going to try a quick trade on AMTD friday or next week.. knowing full well if their problems continue, ill get a really bad fill.. THAT would be the one to get a laugh out of if they foul it up!
