Bernie - I believe this is a long-term skew towards largecap/midcap/S&P caused by a large increase in index (and similar) fund investing. It seems like whenever Maria Bartaromo says a lot of money is flowing into mutual funds, the S&P 500 index outperforms. I go with the flow on that - I have a lot of my IRA in Fidelity Dividend Growth, which seems to correlate to an index fund but do better than an index fund, and as the 3-year chart below shows, it even seems to do better than FSPHX. tscn.com Carolyn S.
