To our shareholders and those following the Alaska/Teck play.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE November 25, 1998

Williams Creek Explorations Limited (50%) and Almaden Resources Corporation (50%) have acquired by staking a 13,120 acre claim block in the Goodpaster mining district of east central Alaska. The Sonora claim block adjoins the south-western boundary of the Teck-Sumitomo Pogo Gold project. The northern most part of the boundary is roughly four miles from the Pogo discovery. The area was chosen because of it's geologic setting to the Pogo discovery, being underlain by highly prospective rocks of the Yukon Tanana Terrane.

A work program to explore these properties is now being planned, and will commence in the 1999 field season.

Williams Creek - symbol WCX, and Almaden - symbol AMH are listed on the Vancouver Stock Exchange.

(Teck has announced the results of the Pogo Deposit having a geologic resource of 9.98 million tons of 0.52 oz/t Au (5.21 Moz Au)

Regards
Tom
