Mr. John Tarrant reports
In the Stockwatch of Oct. 14, 1998, Golden Gate Resources announced that it had reached agreement to acquire all the issued shares of unlisted Canadian company Glenrowan Resources which has two mineral prospecting licences in Malawi, southeast Africa. Pursuant to an agreement with Teck Corp. dated July 15, 1991, Teck has the right to enter into an option agreement over any new mineral properties acquired by the company.
Teck has exercised its option with respect to the Malawi properties held by Glenrowan. If the company completes a preliminary feasibility study on the mineral properties then Teck will have the right to arrange the financing of the costs, including further exploration, development and construction costs, of bringing the property into commercial production.
The properties are currently grassroots exploration targets and the acquisition of Glenrowan remains subject to VSE approval.
