Remembering a password is really not an issue with me, it's the potential abuses corperate America will do with tracking tools, like cookies and other means, too make life better for who? You? I doubt it.
As the Internet (Commercialization of the Internet) grows, target marketing, website tracking, data mining, etc, will keep getting worse. The thing that BUGS me is these privacy statements companies make, some say "we will give out you information to companies we trust" (something to that effect), well what if I don't want to give out my info? What if I refuse cookies? Some sites will not let you in unless you accept cookies.
Allot worse things than cookies out there, but I still hate them. I like Europe's NEW tough privacy laws. A company HAS to tell you what they are doing with your personal data. It's actually way more in depth than that, if they don't follow the governments rules, the government will shut down the website. Canada is now implementing new tough privacy rules for companies with regards to personal data use.
The USA is still behind Europe and Canada when it comes to your privacy. cookiecentral.com |
